Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has advertised for 1375 Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) for 23 various subjects i.e. English, Odia, Math, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology etc..These PGT posts are of Group 'B' State Service under ST & SC Development Department. Selection of PGT posts is to be done through written exam of 150 marks and Viva Voce test. Eligible candidates submitted online forms from 31 January to 02 March 2024.

The starting basic pay of PGT is Rs. 44900 per month. Dearness allowance, HRA etc. allowances will be given on basic pay basis to count total salary.
The Salary of Postgraduate Teacher as per above pay scale is given below.
- Total Salary per month: Rs. 68000-72000
- Deductions: Rs. 6500
- Net salary per month: Rs. 61500-65500.
Candidate will be given various allowances like DA, HRA, Transport allowance etc. as applicable for these posts. After adding all these allowances to basic pay, total salary is calculated and after some deductions, Net salary is credited to candidate's bank account.
